Part of the reason this show is like a breath of fresh air. Is the non existence of commercials. Should that alone not be enough to see the difference between what a society of collectivist could offer us over all.
I like to peer into the future and think there may be a day when we can watch a program without interruption.
Knowing if we need something we can possibly go to a catalog page of advertisements. Directing us to the source that will help us for fill our needs. Without them forcing themselves upon us for products we more than likely do not need.
We already have a lot of these things in place. We cannot live without many of them.
Why have we allowed them to work so far against us, rather than for us.

I believe the most accurate portrayal of the Depression was "The Grapes of Wrath". Modern Republicans try to portray it as a day at Disneyland. The state of Kansas put out a program showing how many people starved to death as part of the Depression and dustbowl. At that time 50% of Americans were subsistence farmers who if they could weather the storm could provide their own food. Grapes shows the banks repossessing the farms and turning them into large corporate entities. "The Sting" showed the depression in Chicago.

The economic democracy that espouses worker cooperatives would share the income of each business. Richard wolff is a great futurist and democracy in the work place needs to happen. The rich oligarchs will fight to ensure this is extremely difficult. We also need more workers to be unionized.

What is present today and absent years ago is that the actions taken by the, for lack of a better word, left then have been made illegal. Taft/Hartley is just one example. In reverse, the Supreme Court has given corporations the legal rights of people.

I would strongly suggest to Wolff to work with others, especially with independent and progressive media, democracy now, tyt, and many others, and individual creators to have a symposium or conference. YouTube is tightening the screws on their AI, strangling the visibility of non establishment media and voices. In the face of this, the “left”is going to need their own means to self promote, because the techno feudalists are disappearing independent voices if only slowly now.

The only way he can get his hand out is to let go of some the cookies, and he is not about to do that under any circumstance.

As far as Presidential and Congressional campaigning, What was the difference in method in the 1930's to what we have now going on? And has it changed the significance of the voters during the campaigning and after once the office has been filled?

I think we need to examine what the forces and influences were that saw the decline of the labour movement, public institutions, public research centers and the systematic deconstruction of the structural frameworks of democracy.
