That’s what you get 9 months after a circ saw and jigsaw have a wild night in Vegas.

Looks awesome. Yes, it’s taller, but you have to put the motor somewhere. Seems much more practical to have a taller saw, than one with a motor sticking out the right side. Much easier to clamp straight edges, etc. Looking forward to the roll out.

Good on flex thinking outside the norm and creating a great option..I like the design and would love to give one a go, I see many benefits of this design

Awesome! How wide is the shoe? What is blade diameter and depth of cut at 90?

Well that's what I wanted to see. It seemed to cut well in what looked to be pretty dense pine. I would like to try one it would take up a lot less space in my toolbox which would be nice but would it cut through oak and nails

What's the weight and is there a corded option?

I have an ancient DeWalt corded saw with a very similar design. Its like a rear handle worm drive but tilted up and narrow. It's left handed style with a rafter hook. Is amazing up in the rafters.

I'll keep my 7-1/4 Milwaukee fuel. The smaller blades are often hard to come by and the extra rotating mass helps the saw not to bog down as easy

Just noticed it has a exit snorkel for sawdust that you could probably attach a vac hose to.
that’s actually pretty nifty

The proof is in the pudding as they say. I just saw the other day the Flex hammer drill go up against a 6 year old Makita and a second-hand Milwaukee M18 and it failed miserably! 3/4” spade bit into timber joist (I think all used the drill setting) and it could not get through 2 holes without stalling out.
This circ say design is great! And for someone like me, a homeowner/DYI person it would be perfect as my old Ryobi “blue” is heavily than a sack of potatoes and I usually just use my B&D trim saw. However, I think a true contractor wants a 7.5” and a framer wants a worm-drive or rear handle.
Overall, it’s going to come down to cost and range compared to the big 3 of Dewalt, Makita and Milwaukee and you know they will all, along with Home Depot have several “special buys” or “buy one get one” deals that Flex will just not be able to do at first. So get ready for those deals at Home Depot in a few weeks when the Flex comes out at Lowe’s!

That’s awesome. I hope Milwaukee copies it.
