This is literally me.. Like I try playing and start playing fast then make mistakes like we need to understand that everything needs time ...be steady and consistent enough to see progress rather than trying to achieve it overnight..

This is actually really good. I tend to play pieces mindlessly(auto) without knowing. Then when it snaps back, the song is close to the end

I learned this from my piano instructor 10 years ago give or take
He ended up moving so I started playing again last week and used this method💯

I already practice like this :D
Err, well, not exactly, but close! personally I learn the left hand first, listen and play along with the melody a few times, then repeat with the right hand but slightly more breif, then combine the two slowly at first, then as I get comfortable I go faster and faster until it is at it's proper pace. But yeah, I do practice in sections like that. :)
