What’s up my piano friends!! Today’s video we’re going go over 3 easy piano tricks for beginners that sound impressive you can use instantly. And amaze your friends and family of course ;)

I call them Fake Piano Skills, not because they’re actually “Fake”, but because I’m just giving you easy stuff to play without really understanding the meat-and-potatoes behind the skills.

And my hope is you have so much fun learning these that you get excited and motivated to learn piano for real (if you aren’t already!)

Here’s what we’ll cover:

00:00 Intro
00:20 The “Tear Jerker” Pattern
02:02 The “Heart Melter” Pattern
06:13 The “Song Generator” (the MOST impressive!!)

Make sure you stick around to the end - the third skill is the most impressive BY FAR, and also actually might be a bit easier to learn than the first two.

Oh, and btw if you’re a complete beginner, no worries, this tutorial is specifically designed for beginners, and we start slow and take absolute baby steps tot make sure you’ll get it frustration-free.

Happy practicing!

-Zach

If you also wish to learn how to play the piano:
-Start with the Basics: Learn the names of the keys, basic music theory, and how to read sheet music. Understanding these fundamentals will make learning more complex pieces easier.
-Practice Regularly: Consistent practice is crucial. Aim to practice daily, even if it's only for a short period. Regular practice helps build muscle memory and improves your skills over time.

This is great to learn as a beginner because it lets you know what it actually feels like to be good at piano and makes you want to go further in piano to actually be good

Mr. Zach, , Raj from India. Today, I am in a better position with keyboard basics, unlike 2 years ago, understand easily what u say in ur tutorials. Thank you again, whatever you stressed here is just good enough for a beginner and is true. With all my appreciations, I say, this is called Value Addition to piano playing from an expert, all experts cannot think like u, to prepare simple meal from Complex music theory and serve on table by teachings, encouraging, persistent on practice. Hats off to you Mr. Zach. I practice all u taught at this age of 62y. I do also think in similar way like u think, to share my learnings in my engineering field over years for young engineer's.

Zac talks fast, but I like him as a piano teacher. He always has excellent ideas about the songs to try and learn as a beginner and has suggestions as well for tricks to try to sound like a professional player right at the beginning. He makes piano easy to learn. He is great.

Besides being a super tutorial, this video is hilarious. As a not-pianoplayer, these tutorials build my skill on the instrument and motivate me to get better. Thanks Zach!

The second skill that was mentioned is actually a chord pattern but consists of only two notes, I suggest you use this technique with songs that use this chord pattern such as Perfect but Ed Sheeran, thanks for sharing this with us Zach!

This is so satisfying, omg. So you can be practicing your beginner chords or sheet music or whatever you’re into and then do this every time you need a break and a moral boost to make yourself feel like you can actually play something awesome, love it!! 😄

Great content, keyboard-brother-warrior!
Your enthusiasm is contagious, and I am sure these great insights into music-theory will pique the curiosity and intrigue of future virtuosos that may not have given music any thought before they saw how easy and beautiful this form of expression can be!
Thank you!
