Dr. Berg talks about the best indicator for adrenal fatigue. And it is "TOLERANCE TO STRESS". If the adrenals are weakened, you can develop:
1. Short fuse
2. Easily Irritated
3. No tolerance for incompetent people, slow people, stupid people, and illogical people. This is because the adrenal is a stress gland and any added stress is overwhelming to the adrenal affecting your mood.

Dr. Berg's subtle, dry humor is everything.

I don't have these issues but now I have a better understanding of people that have a low tolerance to stress.

War changed everything about me. I’ve been in three vehicle accidents (I wasn’t driving) and multiple high stress situations since I was retired from the Army. I didn’t feel even a small adrenaline rush. It started to make me reckless and reclusive. I felt numb to everything that average civilians react to. I was a paratrooper for the 12 years that I served before I was wounded in combat for the third time and given medical retirement. I fought on five combat tours, and never was lucky enough to get deployed to areas of Iraq and Afghanistan that weren’t complete chaos. I’ve got 49 jumps under my belt, and most were into the complete darkness of the night. After a few dozen it had begun being less exciting and by my 49th jump it had become like breathing. The same goes for combat. By my third tour getting shot at was just another day at work. I felt nothing anymore. Even with a chunk of shrapnel sticking out of the side of my head during my last combat experience, I remember telling myself that I should be scared, but I couldn’t. Transitioning to civilian after that was the most difficult thing I had ever done. I couldn’t relate and every symptom that Dr Berg pointed out here was what I felt every minute of every day for years. Those symptoms were exacerbated by traumatic brain injuries and PTSD. I hid myself from the world to avoid being triggered. I didn’t have just a short temper. I could go from zero to rage in an instant over the some of the most trivial things. After I recovered from my wounds I began school to become a paramedic. During my clinical time I’d lost my third patient while en route to the hospital. It was a 4yo girl that we did everything we could to save. I took it hard and it made me realize that I was only trading my old chaotic life for another chaotic life that wasn’t conducive to healing my behavioral health from the damage war had done to me. A few weeks later I was speaking to my grandmother. Through tears she told me something that was like a punch in the gut. She told me that war had taken away her grandson. That the family didn’t know who I was, and that they just wanted their Dane back. I dropped from the paramedic course and decided to go a completely different route. I figured the furthest place from chaos was a spa. I went back to school and became an aesthetician (not just an esthetician) and a massage therapist. After school and a year of experience I had mostly recovered and became a better version of my pre-war self. I still can’t get an adrenaline rush and I am still very nonchalant in situations or moments that are considered high stress for civilians. My approach to these situations are different though. I can relate, empathize, and help others cope in those situations. I’d still love to feel an adrenaline rush again, but I’m still working on that. It’s hard to fear injury and death after forcing that fear out before. I honestly feel like I still embrace death in a very reckless way. I’m working on that but it’s really hard.

Love this!! I imagine it will really help those who have been on Prednisone which stops the adrenals from producing cortisol. ( prednisone is such a horrific medication!)

I like Dr. Berg pretending to be “serious” when he’s actually totally “insouciant”

Yes! Perfect timing. This morning I got so stressed and angry at my son's shoelaces because they were double-knotted and almost made us late for school. I not only got angry, but got him stressed out too and now I feel awful and stupid about it. I think this is something that could really help calm me down because I get irritated with people easily, especillay when I drive and I always have to check and make sure I'm spelling certain words correctly :)

Thank you so much Dr. Berg! I can't wait to watch your videos daily. I'm learning so much, getting leaner and healthier, and feeling overall so much better mentally and physically. I like that you teach us like we are intelligent, thinking people (as we are). Many doctors don't explain things as well as you do.

I learned long ago that getting upset with other people gets you no where. Almost all my stress is internalized.
