brassard deal was before the 2017 playoff run and he was a big part of that run.

Brassard was a massive piece in that 2017 cup run. Sure he shit the bed later on but during that 2017 run he played great.

They won that Karlsson trade by a long shot. Stutzle is an amazing and very promising center for years to come. BTW, I'm a die hard Caps fan but after getting drafted by them on NHL 22, and being there my whole 5 years(and many more to come!!!), I'm beginning to grow some love for this team.

The Zbad trade happened prior to the run and my theory is that he wouldn't have broken out like he did without Panarin. Brassard was a key figure in getting the Sens to Conf Finals as well with 4 goals and 7 assists. Also the return (tree) for Bassard landed Jacob Bernard-Docker, Cam Talbot & Mads Sogaard.
The entire dumpster fire comes down to one factor: Karlsson should never have been made captain. It should have been Phillips followed by Stone. Once Phillips and Neal retired, the true leadership of the core was gone, and the room shattered.
Melynk, at the time of the tear down, said players like Karlsson, Stone, & Duchene were too old for multi-year deals and he was right. Besides Stone (who they wanted to keep) no other former Senator has lived up to their first contract after being traded.

Thank God!! It’s been rough being a Sens fan… Duchene is literally cursed.

I’m a Bruins fan but I’m from Ottawa and let me tell you the fans have never given up on the team despite the owner giving away all of the players of the jerseys they bought

It's a good feeling as a sens fan to finally be excited for the season to start again

The Ottawa Senators will be a team to pay attention to during the 2022-2023 season. Anyone could make the case that they are the most improved team during this offseason.

The Dushene and Stone traded really weren’t that bad, they got some pretty good prospects out of it

Love the transitions. Great use of the Goldeneye music.

I think I’ll be watching some Sens games this year.

Still hate the Blackhawks for trading Debrincat…

Biggest dumpster fire in the NHL??
Arizona might play in a college arena but they are still in the NHL, and they've been a huge dumpster fire for how long now?

I like the image of Melnick when talking about the pinecone. Just know he never would have allowed those players to sign those deals if he were alive.

This season can't start soon enough as a Sens fan

Very excited to see what Giroux can do with capable line mates. He’s never had anything to work with in his entire career (besides Florida obviously). He’s only around 75 points away from 1000 career and he’s still hungry for the cup. I think he already deserves the HOF but a win would basically guarantee it

As a UK Senators fan, I must admit that staying up late to watch games this year has been a lot more enjoyable than the last few years. I loved this episode and in all honesty, I think next year might be the year that we spring to life. Still not there defensively yet but with Jake Sanderson, Thomas Chabot, and Artem Zub I think we just need a more veteran defenseman added to the mix to take us to that next level in that area of the ice.

Calling any team the biggest dumpster fire isn't accurate when the Coyotes exist

The older I get, the more I confuse myself. I'm a Michigander, and love the Red Wings. I also want to see the Leafs win one. I like the Sens. I'm happy to see Ovechkin win one. I want the Oilers to win. I like the Coyotes. I like the Sharks. I like the expansions. I'm even to the point where I sincerely LIKE Crosby.

I love this game.
