This tutorial explains about the Java constructors and how the constructors help to initialize the Java objects. I have explained about the constructors with arguments, default constructor and have mentioned about the rules that need to be remembered to program constructors. These rules are useful for the SCJP certification or OCJP certification exam. I have also explained about the usage of super() and this() and demonstrated how they can be used to invoke the super class constructors and their own constructors.
Finally i have explained about the Java references about how a super class type can refer a subclass type of object

Also in java, the instance variables are initialized when the object of its class is created by calling its default constructor, the functionality of default constructor to initialize the default values to instance variables.

Hi, the variables speed and maxSpeed are of type int and the default values for int type is 0. only for the Object references, when we do not assign an object, the default value comes to null. Please refer to my video 'Java data types.
