Read All About Ed. Do I have to talk about this one? Because there's nothing to say! Double-D has a paper route, so Eddy increases their order in an attempt to make more money. And then the rest of the episode is just them delivering newspapers. There are no standout jokes, no funny physical comedy, it's just them shoving multiple papers in mailboxes. ...Which, I've never had a paper route, but even I'm pretty sure that's not how that works. At one point, Double-D is attacked by a dog, which I think is the only time one is ever shown, and he builds a newspaper delivery machine, that, of course, breaks down thanks to Ed, and the rest of the runtime is just them cleaning up the papers and getting rained on. Ed's final comment I guess is kinda funny, but would have been funnier if Eddy said it. The only thing I can point out is that the characters personalities featured here are more emblematic of how they'd be for later seasons. Eddy is ambitious but lazy, making his friends do all the work, Double-D is overly optimistic and ingenious, but persnickety to a fault, and Ed is helpful but destructive, usually being the one to ignorantly ruin Eddy's scheme. Also, this is one of the first examples of Rolf's exaggerated old-world farm life, that would be further exemplified in later episodes. Besides that, no, this episode is boring and one I always skip. I don't hate it. But only because I forget it exists. Also, does anyone even remember what a newspaper is?
