I don't know who to believe anymore. The whole story is crazy.

This story is very sad. She stated in the documentary she had trust issues. She has was even diagnosed with an attachment disorder which would contribute to her actions that to most people would look like unruly and unsettling behavior, or that she is “tweakin” as they said. She has experienced a tremendous amount of trauma so yes there are going to be issues and many of them until she has gone through an extensive process of not only therapy but also doing the work herself outside of therapy. She went through years and years of trauma, so it is going to take years and years for her to get to a place where she feels secure enough to fully trust those around her. Until then, any little thing others say or do can trigger her at any point and time. I pray she gets all of the help she needs and recovers enough to learn how to cope and navigate her life in a way that she doesn’t run everyone away. Mental illness is soooo serious and we’re dealing with a mental health crisis here in America.

You can legally adopt adults. My half sister was 28 when my mother adopted her. (We share the same father, different mothers) it was in the event something happened to her, our parents would be able to get custody of my niece and nephew.

She was abandoned so many times she is disabled and people still keep treating her wrong. She is in a whole new country. So many factors play into why she maybe acting like that. I hope she can get her surgery and be happy and healthy so she doesn’t need these people that claim to care.

Any else remember the family got Natalia to sign over her food stamps and social security checks in their name. She legally didn’t need to sign it over to them. They could have just help with those things. But she shouldn’t have been in that area in the first place.

Shes grown shes 22 so of course shes going to clash with these people who took control of her life and her money she beeds to get an attorney and get her money and get her an apartment on section 8 and live her life those people are going to yake every last penny from her..how do you adopt a 22 year old woman

Imagine the problems a normal 20 year old can have with their parents. Now factor in what happened to her. What is still happening to her. I am sure the abuse she experienced, will manifest itself somehow, in a negativ way. But, before justice is served, this woman cannot start the healing process

She must have some kind of psychiatric issue, to be thrown out of so many families and she lived with this one the longest. And it was, what, 2 weeks AFTER the adoption went thru that Antwon and Cynthia called up and said they were done with her. Antwon seemed like a God-fearing man. I can't imagine him pulling something like the Barnetts.

Yes, Natalia was absolutely done dirty by the Barnett's. But...why does everyone around her end up either being an abuser or liar? Natalia never has a part in this outside of being a victim. She paints herself out like an innocent little girl who had no behavioural/emotional problems. That's a problem. She was victimized, yes and TERRIBLY...but it's also evident that she's deeply troubled. Even more so now. She comes off very combative even when she's even tempered. I can't wait to hear what the Manns have to say. I also feel that Cynthia and Antwon were motivated to have Natalia bc they knew this came with some financial perks and celebrity/online status. By far the most bizarre case I've ever seen. Everyone in this game isn't being honest because everyone has something to gain.

Okay. Everyone needs to remember Natalia was adopted from abroad at 9 years old. Most countries doesn’t usually do that at all, especially if the child has been through trauma. A nine year old that gets adopted abroad has ALWAYS gone through trauma, and I see a very small likelihood that she’ll ever be rid of that trauma. This kind of adoption is really not a good way to help a child and she’s been on her own for a looong time. That does mess up a child, and she needs help, not empty gestures, which seems to be all she’s gotten so far. She’s a young woman who’s been mistreated from people as well as systems for her entire childhood, and her wrongdoings doesn’t make her adoptive parents any less horrible.
