This all still seems cryptic to me. Can I find more info on what the scales are and how this translates to the pads and the colours? Where for instance can I see which scale is on which pad? Would be nice to see a more in depth video on how to write a track with this function! Very happy with my launchpad by the way.

0:21 What are the bottom two rows doing in this Keys Mode setup view? Is that a range of octaves? Also, what are the note overlap options? The controller I'm currently using (APC Mini) has 6 of them, and I notice this one has 5. Are they 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th? Or 4th 5th 6th 7th Octave?

Could I change colors in notes mode somehow? Not in the custom mode.

I have two launchpad x and I am setting them up to be a grid piano. I have them setup for 5 rows and i am using a major scale so the lights resemble the placement of piano keys so I can see where I am. The Notes section on both launchpads look great and one is a lower octave so I get like a total of 73 notes or something close.

Everything works great accept one device lights the pads that I hit as green and the other device does not. (like in this video)
Does anyone know how to toggle that feature?

I have checked and both have the same firmware.

I have a drum rack loaded up into the first column of session mode in ableton live. I want to play notes with my second column which is a sample loaded up into sampler but the problem is that Launchpad X is only giving me the option to finger drum with my drum rack.

Why not make a model with 12 buttons in a row? That way in chromatic mode a row will have a full octave. And even in scale mode make an option for the root note to always be in the 1st column, remaining columns may be left empty.
