Putin breaks silence on Wagner mutiny with bland statement on young engineers

Vladimir Putin has finally spoken for the first time since the Wagner Group staged an attempted mutiny against his armed forces.

Putin made a short pronouncement congratulation the opening of the International Industrial “Engineers of the Future” Youth Forum.

On Friday 23 and Saturday 24 June, the Wagner Group, a mercenary outfit led by convicted criminal Yevgeny Prigozhin, staged a mutiny against the Russian defence leadership.

The group made it deep inside Russia from their posts in Ukraine, getting to only 200 miles from Moscow before agreeing to stop.
