I just moved into an apartment and I couldn't see the mold when looking at it because the previous tenant had furniture covering the mouldy spots. I'm using vinegar essence (99%) after scraping down the wall as far as I could, spraying with a hospital grade disinfectant that is undiluted and used for antibiotic resistant bacteria like MRSA to kill it instantly and it's usually used diluted. I don't dilute it at all. I wipe the walls with the same solution and then use hidrogen peroxide and let that soak into the wall. My window is open 24/7. I'm not breathing in any mold, thank you.

I got mold issues, guess I'll try the white vinegar to remove it. Seems the best thing is to use a dehumidifier and get the air moving and have good ventilation. I'm starting to use fans to move air

Well done, this is like cutting the top off of a mushroom that’s in the ground, you might not see the mushroom anymore but it will grow back

Suffering from mould problems too. Thanks for the tips. I was advised not to paint over mould paint as it stops all the good stuff from acting as a barrier to stop mould from coming back. Just something I thought I’d share. All the best. 😊

Mold/fungi has long “fingers”, if it’s in the walls, it will keep reappearing. Get a dehumidifier or use DampRid or the like, you need air movement.

in my experience mold on walls means the mold spore has traveled through the drywall and has set up shop behind it on the frame, electrical whathave you so whenever you encounter this you gotta make sure that aint a problem

Give it 3 months and it will start to come back depending on the weather too, take that from someone who has done this multiple times.

Close the gap between your skirting and wall, stops stale air that contributes towards mouldy environment.

this absolutely will not solve the problem. mold spores are invisible and create networks throughout the porous drywall. the only real solution is to cut out and replace the drywall.

This happens because there is NOT INSULATION In the way. So they will come back. unless the apartment is well heated all round in the winter

This will clean it, but as black mould forms from the bacteria in condensation it will return soon after unless ventilation is improved in the property
