Oscar passed away peacefully on February 22nd, 2022. 3 days before this, he predicted his own death.

aww i like to think that hes trying to bring some comfort to those who will soon pass away :'( my cats always cuddle with me when im sad or anxious, and i dont even call them or anything they just know its amazing

This reminds me of an episode of the original Twilight Zone series about a soldier in WWII who could tell which of his comrades was going to die next when he saw a glow around them. In the end, when he saw a glow around himself when looking in the mirror, he volunteered for a suicide mission to help the rest of his squad survive. That scene where he saw his own glow shook me up as a kid and I never forgot it.

There was a cat with the facility that my grandmother was in that would go into the room of people that were soon to pass. My aunt also worked at that facility so she could take care of her mother and when the cat went into my grandmother's room they contacted my aunt and sure enough that night
my grandmother passed.

I’ve worked in hospice, and I know cats. Most people get super hot right before they pass away, and cats like warm things. If a cat is cold and there’s an actively dying person nearby, odds are the cat is going to curl up in the dying person’s bed, because it’s the warmest thing in the area.
