Older cods had movement mechanics people abused back then. Bunny hopping and drop shotting sound primitive compared to modern movement mechanics but people complained about drop shotting and bunny hopping the same as they do about the current movement.

In short, there is always going to be something that creates skill gaps in video games and there will always be people complaining about them.

Many people hated Warzone 2.0 because of the movement. And thats why I love warzone 2.0, its simple for both casual and competitive players and I like it more than warzone 1.0, the cjange of movement make Zombie Royale in warzone 2.0 way more fun cause you dont have so many people sweating

I feel strongly about this opinion: it’s not the mechanics that makes the games we used to love playing ruin current games, it is the lack of impact the game has when playing. Original Modern Warfare and World at War kickstarted the online grind to be better with a glass ceiling that prevented what is now the ‘try hards’ ‘no life’s’ and exploites because everyone hit that ceiling and couldn’t do more. All COD games from 2008 to 2014 broke that glass ceiling that allowed everyone to continuously play with no ceiling and skill was now the focus for trick shots no scopes across the map tomahawk/ throwing knife, nukes, and it always had the fun factor never taken away. All COD games from BO3 to now are recycled functions with no thrill or fun because as soon as you start everyone focus is on speed. Faster killing faster movement faster points to level up to unlock. Again my strong opinion but companies need to see what the consumer wants and work with that. Sure Omni-movement sounds fun and looks like a challenge to face when wanting to improve skill but this seems to be a learning curve made for content creators instead of actual players who want a game they grew up with. Stop with introducing celebrities and skins for a war game that have nothing to do with it. There are plenty of military movies to pull characters and inspiration from instead of seeing Niki Minaj run laps around a map calling in missiles.
