this is so very helpful. I just removed the manifold from a Citroen grand Picasso 2011, and I also found only two screws holding the metal bracket under the manifold, and indeed you do not need to remove that metal bracket in order to remove the manifold (in my case the engine was in the car, but still possible). Thanks so much for the video!

fairly clear instruction ; however one mistake that I see almost every video posted on youtube on doing the timing on these engines have is, when torquing up the cam phaser/gear don't apply counter torque to the 27mm wrench on the camshaft. You are actually supposed to apply force in the same direction as you are torquing to. I have the official Peugeot Service Box software which gives this instruction. Also there was an official PSA instruction video on youtube can't find it anymore though

What a insane quality - filming and your voice. Do you think its possible to replace the chain without remove the engine of the car as you did? Its a P 308sw 2008

Is it possible to do the old trick to undo the bottom crank pulley bolt with the starter method and long bar? Then lock the flywheel and camshaft pulleys and remove as normal?

Since ive always done this method never had issue but im new to this engine.

Hello friend, I really liked the video. I'm looking for help for my 2012 Mini Cooper S, which has reduced potential. I live in Brazil and in my region, the mechanics don't know how to use it. I went to one in a large center, he passed the device and told me for sure that it was the timing chain and that I have to change the whole kit, but he didn't charge half the value of the car. This is absurd here in Brazil. I wanted help only if the fault corresponded to the timing chain.

Really helpful video thanks. I am just in the process of changing the timing chain on our 207 and we do not have the flywheel locking tool at the moment. Is it safe to do the method you mentioned of putting it in 5th and putting the brake down or is it better to wait and order the locking tool?

Is this doable for a "home mechanic" or is there big possibility to mess things badly such as the timing?
I know basic stuff, have basic tools. I have also successfully fitted new valve cover gasket, turbo feed line and oil cooler seals earlier, so somewhat familiar with this engine.

Please advise me
My N14 engine timing chain snapped and we cranked several times before we realised that the timing chain was snapped.
Do you think this will affect the valves or not ? And how to be sure about that without moving the engine head gasket?😢

can i remove the camshafts with cam sprockets on from the hpfp and vacuum pump side. so i don't have to unbolt sprockets from cams and torque them again?

is locked.Doesn't matter on what orientation it goes back on
