Nickelodeon is continuing to cancel shows and remove them from Paramount Plus, it leaves me wondering what happened to what used to be the biggest name in kids entertainment

With Nick is a shell of its former self, CN with the whole cancellation of shows, and Disney finishing all of their good shows, what is there left?

Netflix after Paramount returns:"You couldn't live with your own failure. Where did that bring you, back to me"

I love how the text said "Spoingbop" when he said Spongebob

That's what all of these companies get for trying to start their own streaming service. I hope this trend continues across the board so we can go back to having 3 or 4 big streaming services.

Big Nate being removed confuses me cause they were doing so much to make that show the next Loud House in terms of kid entertainment. Kids seem to love it, it has some kind of fanbase. I thought they would be full steam ahead with this being the second most popular next to LH. Now it feels like they didn't reach the numbers they want and are embarrassed by that and just getting rid of it.

To be honest, if they do ever shut down it’s on them they don’t try they don’t want to change

Have you watched "A better schedule for Nickelodeon's main block" by Evan Rosman? It can save Nickelodeon.

Considering Nickelodeon originally had a deal with Netflix years ago before Paramount Plus came to be mostly likely they’re pushing forward on that deal again with other Nick shows recently popping up on Netflix

The only reasoned I’ve even considered Paramount+, is to rewatch the Golden Age of SpongeBob: seasons 1-4. That’s it.

It's stuff like this that makes me appreciate Indie media even more.

The Quiet On Set documentary really allowed you to sink in about Nickelodeon and they're eventual downfall eh?

It's such a shame that these once dominant forces in kids' entertainment are being massacred by their cost-cutting parent companies. I'm not gonna pretend all of the removed/written-off shows were perfect, but it sucks that many projects people have spent years on are being "erased". I'm kinda hoping Paramount ends up with a tolerable new owner, but given how the last couple of years have been with CN's parent company, I'm not expecting anything good in this industry.

I think Paramount is realizing that streaming is not doing as well so I think they're giving up on Paramount Plus I'm taking her content to other platforms and letting them do what they which if that's the case that's actually pretty smart because a lot of these streaming platforms are putting more money into content where they were originally just making money off of cable and Netflix
