Thor holding Tony by the throat and telling him straight up if he or anyone from the government or shield try anything he will quite literally bring biblical end days on them is such a cool moment

Can we talk about how badass Thor’s dialogue is? That shit turned me into a Thor fanboy

I never noticed it before, but Tony's neck is actually bruised where Thor was holding him, meaning Thor was by all means choking him through his suit

Let’s not forget, before this beat down he laid to Tony he asked Cap’s ghost if he wanted revenge. Meaning if he wanted him to kill Tony and the others who was responsible. He respected Cap, more so than Tony, and if cap’s ghost had said yes he would have done it without question. People forget Thor was a warrior before he was a hero, killing for a just cause is what he did.

Tony did not understand that even though Thor was dead in the afterlife he watched the world of man. He saw friends and allies hunted down and imprisoned, his trust violated by Tony by creating his own version of him and the death of a mortal that Thor has the highest respect and admiration for in Captain America. Tony hadn't realized that the few bouts he had with Thor that Thor was merciful but without such mercy he has about as much chance as a nail beating a hammer. Tony's lucky that Thor didn't kill him.

"There is only one difference. In this time and this place, I am no longer holding back"

A full power Thor would be scary af

"You been working out?"
"No, the only difference is I'm not holding back anymore."
Tony was suddenly glad he could pee in his armour.

Showed more respect for the threats of the drunk angry civilian than for those of Stark. Props to that.

Thor: "I was dead."
Random guy: "Oh no! Anyway."

This.
Now this is what Thor is.
And Tony just had to rile him up in the worst way possible.
That day, Tony was reminded that Thor is a god and you do NOT mess with one.
. . .
Dang it, this is the Thor that I love.

At last... a proper THOR! Not a nerfed shadow to get banged up used to show how powerful other characters are.

Gotta love Thor he gave Tony what he had coming. Civil War almost single handle ruin the character.

This is a Thor I can respect, Tony needs to learn that certain heroes are above him and his laws.

Tony threatened to have the government move Asgard by force if necessary...

So Thor threatened to flood the capital and shoot down any escaping planes. 😳😳

Back in the old days, when Marvel knew how to write something.
This is actually one of the best comics Thor has had in a long time. Most of that run was.

Thor was rather scary here. Of course his anger was justified. His promise of showing Tony's superiors the true definition of power was very well done.

I think there's something beautiful in how humble Thor is to the regular Joe right before he demonstrates his superiority to Tony.

He doesn't condescend, or defend himself or in any way demean the man. He takes everything he says seriously, and you can see the empathy in his eyes for the pain of the man's existence.

Sure, I loved watching Thor beat the tar out of Iron Man as much as the next guy, but I'm glad you included the proceeding scene, because it gives it so much more weight.

Thor doesn't respect Iron Man despite his incredible power... for a mortal at least, because of his delusions of godhead and superiority and godhood, but he respects an ordinary man because DESPITE his complete lack of power and knowledge of that fact, he will clearly even stand up to a God of Thunder to protect what's important to him.

It shows that while Thor is a God and deserves to be called such, he never lost sight of the plight of mortality, or respect for those who struggle to fight it well.
