The bill is far worse then you think, because what is a “foreign adversary” is so vaguely defined it could literally be anyone they don’t like even private US citizens with no direct foreign anything.

Though to be honest it's definitely far unlikely for genshin to be banned, believe me US officials has little to no idea what these devices are. And in the recent tiktok ceo interview the people who were asking felt like clowns in a circus who have no idea what they were talking about.

well my country banned tiktok and other chinese apps but genshin is still working so i don't think it'll be banned in U.S

I think the Genshin community really needs to educate themselves on this, including yourself Shark. The bill is a Patriot act 2.0. The EFF(Electronic Frontier Foundation) has put out statements on it to that effect. People need to oppose this bill and write their reps. Genshin is the least of our worries with this overreaching authoritarian legislation.

If this bill passes Genshin is the least of our worries.

Well in India TikTok was banned very earlier but till date genshin is there, even government has not paid any interest in genshin so i don't think it would be banned in US

Contact your congressman and tell them you are against the bill for how much power it gives the government. They can arrest you for using the wrong VPN, and seize your property, and there is no oversight nor do they have to provide any documents on what they are doing. It would be one thing if it just said banned apps or sites, but punishing citizens is a bit much.

Now I've done a deep dive into this Restrict Act and it seems that it primarily applies to foreign investors, regardless of whether they are investing in foreign or domestic applications. Considering a lot of the U.S. government is manipulated by corporate money though there is a good chance this won't make it too far. A number of signers have already reconsidered since putting it forth. Definitely something to keep an eye on though in the future especially if things heat up towards China due to Taiwan or Russia.
