Russia was the provider of cheap energy for Europe. Now it will have to redirect more of its oil and gas sales to China, India, Turkey and other countries, which will have the competitive advantage of cheap energy. This will attract investment and more growth for the new economic powers. For their part, ordinary Europeans will have to pay more for energy and a process of deindustrialization will take place that will generate fewer quality job opportunities. Who lost in the long run? The ordinary working European citizen. That lazy bureaucrat and the European elites will continue to have a good time.

Russia was announced loosing the energy war long ago. What we see is Eurooe and Uk on the road to total collapse. Us helping as dollar is growing while euro and pound plummeting.

it is propaganda. we all have to suffer so that the us and its western allies stay in power of the world. the guy is saying that you have to suffer so that everything gets better in the long run. it will not. high energy costs are with us for decades in europe. it takes time to build all the new pipelines from asia and africa as well and lng terminals in europe. manufacturing is already moving to the us.
