Sorry to rain down on your Filmora 12 tutorial, I can not even follow your explanation since Filmora decided to cancel the lifetime licenses like me and other thousands of users did to support Wondershare to reach where they are now... I know you don't have anything to do with this mess they started, but I sure feel sorry for you since you are caught between Wondershare and angry users like me. Hopefully your YouTube channel will survive the negative image Wordershare is getting in Social media....

Hello all. I am currently looking at using a video editor for the first time to start creating/uploading training videos to YouTube. I was considering Camtasia but I don't want to spend alot. I don't plan on doing anything too fancy, not even splitting screens with my camera. I plan to mostly show my computer screen with either pdf and/or powerpoint presentations while narrating it. Now looking at Filmora. Your opinion?

Hey Filmora, nice product but TERRIBLE treatment of your longtime LIFETIME license holders. Did we all die? Lifetime means lifetime, not until you decide you want to change terms of something we bought back in version 8. Users beware. This company will screw you over!! The software can't hold a candle to Divinci, which is free, and SOOO many more features. Definitely use something else.

The difference between 11 and 12 is large. 12 is much more responsive and bug free in the time i have used it.

Will someone please confirm if I understand correctly that the new export option; "Compression Quality" setting of "None" means no additional video compression upon export. The Low, Medium, and High modes add compression. Is this correct? I tested export in both modes. The size and bitrate were the same.

Also, for max quality, I aways set the bit rate to CBR (Constant Bit rate). This will is higher quality than VBR. Correct?

Hi, I tried getting a reply from Wondershare help but no luck... For some reason when saving a project Filmora can't access my folders. Not the C drive, not any other drive including memory stick. Everything else is working fine but it's impossible to save a new or old project. Have you come across this kind of thing? The warning message says 'Failed to save project file. You may choose a new path, fix the write permission or free up disk space and try again'. There's lots of space on my drives and altering permissions doesn't help either. Any idea of what's going on please?
