Multivariate Calculus (Lecture 4): 3 X 3 determinants and properties of cross product

In this lecture we extend the determinant to the 3 X 3 case and introduce the algebraic properties of the cross product. In particular, we establish that the cross product is neither commutative nor associative. We derive the identities for a X (b X c) and (a X b) X c which we will later use to study curvature.
