So sparkly! Very pretty! Ironically, I just saw Cathy Haberman of Hands on Design show a special vintage piece she did from a Sue Lentz design/study piece. It was on her most recent flosstube. Now I am off to look on ebay for Sue Lentz! Have a great weekend!

We have a house in Fredericksburg, Tx as well as Houston and always make a special trip to The Tinsmith's wife. Their cross stitch supplies are awesome! Sadly, I have not found a cross stitch store in Houston... Just got back to cross stitching a year ago. Love your channel...

That's so pretty! Definitely agree with your plan for the Basics videos, makes perfect sense to do that order. Your move sounds like it's going to be great for you both. :-)

Beautiful project. We live about an hour from San Antonio & love it. There is a shop in Comfort that is called The Tinsmith's Wife. It's knitting, needlepoint & very little cross stitch. Stitches From The Heart is the cross stitch store in SA. Plenty of threads. Welcome to Texas...

How exciting to be making the move but maybe setting down and buying a home too! You will have a lot of work to do but the end result will be wonderful. Have a nice weekend! 🙋🏼

It is so pretty with all the metallics! Fun to watch you progress on this piece. I had to laugh when you talked about photos on houses I live in a small town in Sweden and I have moved two times on my own so I have seen some apartments and yeah some pictures were dark and the angle was strange but I have never seen dishes in the sink or laundry. I dont think they ever would upload photos like that!

I’m glad you’re doing a Christmas piece and working on this beauty. I look forward to seeing your progress as the different sections get filled in. I like the ideas on fabric and floss next before kitting up videos for your basics series. Have a great weekend

Such a pretty project! I'll be watching for all your progress! And I'm so happy yet sad that you're leaving us! But it sounds so much cheaper in San Antonio! You and Mike I'm sure will love it!

You probably know this, but Leslie Fetty LaFleur owner of Under the Sea fabrics just recently moved to San Antonio. She might have some helpful ideas for you. Your WIP is gorgeous! What does your husband do? (hope you don’t mind me asking!)

Hi Jan
Move sounds exciting. San Antonio has a growth spurt right now. As to maintenance in your future home you will want a Home Warranty Policy. They are wonderful and you pay a small service call fee (est $65-$75) per call and they do the repairs. Cooktops, electrical, plumbing, air conditioning. If they can’t fix it, they replace it. Go to hwa.com for more info of all the plans and what coverage runs. I use HWA which is Home Warranty of America. I have had great success with them for several years for my clients and it is one of our Keller Williams Realty vendors to use over others. I’m also in Texas so send me an email and will run a search and help you get set up with a fellow Keller Williams agent. I’m so excited. You are only 3-1/2 hours from me in College Station. Maybe we will see each other at a “stitchy thing” in the future. San Antonio is also home of The Yarn Barn of San Antonio. They have beautiful knitting and crochet yarn, too. I visited them several years ago. It’s a huge store about the size of a huge Hobby Lobby but all yarn and needlework. There are several others too. I just googled “yarn shops in San Antonio, Texas” and a bunch came up. There is also a great Italian Restaurant....Paesanos....I visited there at least 20 years ago and the food was so outstanding I still remember it.

Now what is classification of Stitchery project? Canvas work on linen? When I was doing needlepoint I did different stitches on 18 point canvas and I loved it. This looks similar only on linen.

Electricity will be used way more here than you are using it in Hawaii because there is not much opportunity to open windows. Gets very hot and if you can open windows on nice rare days the pollen is a killer for allergies. Also look at our crazy taxes and HOA fees here before you commit. We set aside I think one thousand a month just for taxes, high insurance, and HOA fees.
