Succulent: A Linux Rice

A recent Linux rice I did a few weeks ago that showcases the same great functionality but with a new minimalist touch of nature.

Reddit post (dotfiles inside):

Music - AllttA, AllttA (also in the top left polybar)

If you have no idea what this is and want to get started, here's a website you can read:

I love the fact that your matrix window is the largest one on the layout.

This is supernatural. I installed i3 on my system this week and it's just insane how fast everything goes. Well done!!

Hi all, thanks so much for the support! I'm frankly surprised by the attention this video has gotten since it was originally uploaded as a simple demo for my github/website/resume.

One thing recently came to my attention that I want to note:
Unfortunately I've discovered that it isn't completely accurate to call this distro (Manjaro) an "Arch Linux" system. Manjaro is heavily based on Arch and runs packages from AUR, however they have their own release cycle and packages as well.

Final notes: I still stand by Manjaro as an awesome, easy way to use AUR packages, however if you're hellbent on doing proper Arch I'd say look into Antergos for an easier install.

Apologies if I misled anyone!

Edit: I've also updated the description and title to reflect this :)

One of the neatest rice I've ever seen! Damn transition and arrangement are so smooth.

The complexity and simplicity are so balanced. I'm constantly playing around with KDE and openbox but a TWM is my end goal. If you made a Manjaro spin with that setup, I'd buy you a cup of coffee lol

I'm less than 2 minutes in and I see the most functional workspace I think I've ever encountered. Maybe it's time to give i3 a try. Great video! Liked and subbed

Youtube recently got rid of their activity feed so I'm posting an update here regarding the tutorial everyone's asking me about.

First of all, sorry for the lack of updates; college, hackathons and internship apps have kinda become the bane of my free will. I'll see if I can get to the tutorial series around Thanksgiving break but no promises (there's a joke somewhere here about Thanksgiving dinner and broken promises).

Anyways, as always thanks for everyone's support and interest!

Love the rice. But I was more impressed by your workspace navigation and the speed at which you did it. Might have to get my home environment set up like this ^_^

excellent video, I'm using Qtile and I'm just getting the widget to work, it was quite an experience for Nitrogen to load the wall paper at startup.
