Closed position? When the face matches your spine angle, most would call that square.

Have to laugh at people telling a 4 time major champion how to swing it 🤦‍♂️😂😂😂

he changed his setup this year to be slightly farther away from the ball so he isnt so over the ball with the irons and driver like you pointed out.

Do you like how is right elbow is at the top?

Are you an instructor with biomechanics training? The lead wrist flexion is NOT what has caused his wrist injuries. Also, damage to the spine doesn't occur on the long side, it occurs on the short side due to disc shearing. Lol 🤦

I’m sorry you can’t critique a swing that has produced 5 major titles. Most god-given talented athlete playing golf since Tiger. His great uncle played in the NBA and MLB

Your videos would be way better if you just show the full screen of the golfer. What is the benefit to seeing you read from your phone? Have you ever seen a golf analyst on TV split screen breaking down a swing?

Maybe his injured wrist comes from hitting down so much on the ball. If you shallow and rotate more the impact pressure should be less. Hope it’s not a big injury risk since out of all the release patterns, it keeps the club square the longest.

Now - I am going to be really critical of his swing based on the knowledge coming from a similar swing, so forgive the long comment in advance.

Koepka swing in my opinion is not one the average golfer should try to copy. Its natural. His swing is based on more of a pendulum mechanic that he as perfected (kinda) over a long period of practice and recovery.

His driver stats will show that he is very erratic with his shot placement and yardages, this also bares true to his longer clubs - one reason for this is his swaying motion where he loads onto his trail leg because his head has moved from center to back during the later stage of his back swing. During the downswing his head remains behind the ball but his spine and arms move forward. This happens because he tightens his core. As a result like me he will suffer from back and rib pain very often. At the lowest point of the swing his wrists will take over with all the energy from the top and I am sure wrist pain is a must. Point to note as well because of the motion where does really shallow the club out he is a natural fader of the ball and his misses will be predominantly right. This will exaggerated the longer the club.

With his irons and wedge his head remains more centered than his woods and driver. If you guys do find a front on view of him hitting his irons you see what I mean. At the top of his backswing his wrist is bowed and remain bowed coming down to the half way mark, this means his wrist now gets power from the arms and he is pull the club into the body with his right arm. Golfers - wrist and elbow joints will feel this motion 100%. He is strong enough to handle it. Point to note: with his irons his miss will either be right or short. His hip rotation isn't that big but he does turn. His upper body turns a fair amount so you can expect him to also have frequent back pain.

I suffered, before my swing change, from right hip, right elbow and left wrist pain. Kept me out for about 3 months for the wrist and about a week for the hip and elbow.

Brooks Koepka WITB video please. Please do a Matt Wolff and Tony Finau Swing Analysis and WITB please and Thanks :).
