Always love your reviews Michael! Any idea when your 250F shootout will be released?

Man, a yzf 350 would be just about perfect.

I just sold my 23 KX 450. Getting older, I care less about results and more about fun. Undecided what to buy. A lot of people suggest I get a 350. But I’m not concerned about power. I just want a bike that feels playful and steers really well with a lower feel on the front end and holds up well on the rear. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. At the moment I’m leaning towards this yz250f. Thanks for the content. !!

Whoever buys this or the 24 250, make sure you are using the Yamaha hard-hitting map, best map by far

over here in the uk a brand new crf 250r is £7250 for a 2025 model the yamaha is £9000 for a 2025 thats quite a difference

Great review! Are you shifting a lot more on it compared to Austrian bikes? How does the engine braking on freed up map compare to the amount of engine braking on say the ktm ? Trying to decide between ktm and yamaha. Looking for longer gears and less engine braking. I'm not super picky about suspension.

What does Yamaha recommend for sag setting?

Hi Michael, i would love to see a 250 shootout with the bikes having a ECU and pipe, maybe some mid range fuel as well to see how they fair then.

Hi, I’m torn between the 2024 and 2025. I can get the 2024 for £500 cheaper.

Would you say the suspension changes are really that noticeable? If so how?

Regarding the bottom end bog/gurgle that’s I’ve head about the 2024, do you think the 2024 and 2025 engine will feel exactly the same with the same map in? I’m worried the 2024 has a different base map than the 2025 meaning you can’t get the 2024 to to work as well.

You think the CRF250 Works Edition pulls harder than the stock Yamaha

the 2024 and 2025 both need Twisted's air box fix-kit. way better low end. in 2024 they made the air box too big and it reduced air velocity. more air flow is less air speed. the balance is minute and they sacrificed this balance for top end. you older guys remember reed stuffers on the 2-strokes. this is the same principle. fill in that space and you get more torque.

and no i don't work for Twisted. i just hate boggy engines. the other option is get the Honda. it now has the best low end. if you wanna lift the front end when going slow in the woods...

Wanted a 450. But man idk might have to go with a Yamaha or honda 250. I'm bigger at 205lbs though.

Deegan might win championships on this bike but I think Kawasaki is going to win championships next year
