Hey Jeremy I have my own theory of where Nike is headed as a brand. At gyms and pretty much everywhere you go you see high schoolers and younger wearing them because it’s “cool”. Step back and look at the older crowd. More and more people wearing under armour, adidas, OC, hokas, even new balance like myself. In fact I’ve been seeing more and more new balance lately.
Nike seems to be turning into a kids brand. This is just my every day life I’ve noticed so who knows…

I work at an advertising agency and our biggest client is adidas. Messi has been huge for their brand and is killing it in the US, way more than Kanye with his Yeezy. I seriously think they could start to overthrow with Nike or at least make them dance

I can’t see people spending $150 on shoes right now. People are holding off on these kinds of buys because everyone’s got multiple pairs of shoes that they can wear out until the economy improves.

pretty sure goodwil represents the amount Nike paid over the asset value for a business it acquired for its brand reputation etc, NOT Nikes brand reputation, customer relationships etc. So it acquired businesses, that they paid 280 million over net asset value for. Nikes brand reputation value would be worth 10's of billions and that figure would be calculated if they were ever to be acquired themselves
