IMPORTANT: Do note that if this repeater doesn't detect 5GHz signal from your router, you have to set the 5GHz channel on the router you want to extend to either 36, 40, 44, or 48. On auto, repeater won't detect 5GHz signal. This is also the case with more expensive TP Link repeaters.

Also note that towards the end of the video I implied that you can use two TP Link routers to create a mesh network, but that is actually not possible and Onemesh only works if you use a range extender with a Onemesh supporting router. Really stupid, but that's how it is.

Instead of buying this repeater, you can use your old router as repeater, it works fine!

Pretty honest review I would say. Yes, even I am not happy with its performance. 5G totally sucks, even for 2G it cant take load of multiple streaming though speed test shows decent speed. Kills the 2G to almost 1/4th speed comparing to the mother AP. Not worth for a decent sized apartment or multi floors... total waste.
