Not to mention how the restraints work, restraints since steel coasters were created have been use with rack & piñon gears, not one but 2, newer restraints use 2 hydraulic cylinders to be snuckly fitted to your body, the cylinders can only open with an electrical signal, so yes this is true, but both mechanisms failing is so unlikely you will never have to worry

Learned this 5 years ago in Blaze and the monster machines. It’s called centrifugal force as I still remember it to this day. Blaze was such a good kids show to watch.

However…. the coaster shown in the video is a Vekoma Boomerang (Vekoma is the manufacturer and Boomerang is the name of the model) this clone is found at multiple theme parks such as Hersheypark, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, and Walibi Holland. This model is focused on giving the rider positive g forces in each element. A lot of other coasters have airtime hills that have the opposite reaction and if your restraint were to lift (this would never happen if you are following the rules) you would fly out because of the negative g forces. Don’t worry though because it is so incredibly rare for the restraint to lift since it is locked in place with a hydraulic or ratcheted mechanism
