WiFi 6 version of the premium Chateau is finally here!

Update: the video contains a typo mistake, the USB port is in fact USB 2.0, not as the video says.

Chateau 5G ax & LTE18 ax have the CPU IPQ6010 of 1.8Ghz but the official test result data thereof is 100% the same as that of the hAP ax² with the IPQ6010 of 864Mhz. Is anything wrong about the data on the website for Chateau 5G ax & LTE18 ax?

Chateau (is not pronounced cha two but cha tow). Unless it was on purpose to make fun of France ;-). Glad to see you guys are applying wifi6 across the spectrum of products!

Hello I just bought one of these for my homelab extension.

Number of M.2 slots 1

Does this really mean an M.2 ssd? Unfortunately, there is no further information on the product website.

Do you have any more information on this?

Thanks and greetings

I'm very confused right now. :D

I am using the router provided by my ISP, and I would like to upgrade to a MikroTik one.
I have clear Line of Sight with the cell tower. Only a 7km sea is between us.
My current router, with internal antennas, gets 50/15Mbps inside, and 90/20Mbps outside the house.

So I can't really decide, if I should get the Chateau LTE18 ax or the LHG LTE18 that also has a high gain antenna that I can place outside.
The extra features of the Chateau (the routing) are very welcome, but my number 1 priority, is the DL/UL speeds.

Any suggestions, anybody ? :)

Does anyone know how long an antenna cabling from the external LTE antenna connector to a high gain LTE antenna would be allowed to be?
Or let me ask differently: I live in the lowest floor of 6-story building, which roof would be the perfect place to put a professional LTE antenna to ... but would most likely be a cable length of up to 25 or even 30 meters... depending on where the owner would allow the cable to be led through the house. I don't know how much the signal strength would be improved by placing a special antenna from my flat (with access to 2 balconies on both sides of the house. I probably would have to either ask an RF expert or buy or rent some specialized hardware to perform signal strength analysis on both places. BUT to be honest, there is also a 2nd consideration when it comes to having the antenna on the roof and with that about 15 Meters of direct sight away from my flat which is continuous exposure to high electroradiation exposure. And believe me or not - 5G is proven to have a very high energy rate even it is a bit more time distributed - and definitely not really healthy. So these are the two reasons, speed and health.
REMARKS: I'm aware, that Wi-Fi 6 also has a high energy rate, but at least that signal I could easily turn off whenever I feel to or usually just use Ethernet, which I'm also considering. You might ask why I'm into 5G overall when worried about health: Well first, so far I only use 4G (which is quite a bit less potentially unhealthy), and mostly it is because I have perfect offer of only 10 bucks a month from my mobile provider, for that additional SIM card and since years now have been using a simple so called Mi-FI router with great Wi-Fi signal coverage, wo/ any additional ISP connection. So I had Wi-Fi on my flat at home for simply 10 bucks a month (and I think they even provide 5G with it).
Anyhow, I would be very happy if you would share your thought about possible solutions for placing an LTE on a quite distant place.

What about LTE/5G speed between those two MT’s? This is very important

Finally, 2 years after the 802.11ax release and 1 year before wifi7.... but better late than ever! (hAP ax2 for the win)!!!!

I'd like to see the external antennas described better on website. If I understand the description correctly, the Chateau 5G ax model supports two antennas for LTE/5G connectivity? And Chateau LTE18 ax doesn't support external antennas for LTE?

Well done Mikrotik, can't wait to get my hands on this one

Does the 5G AX router support IP Passthrough / Bridge mode. I'd like to offload the speeds to my existing mesh network.

Can this do a mesh network or can you suggest any products that will do wifi mesh

I still wish that devices got when I got into Mirkotik supported WiFi 2, almost bought an UniFI 6 to work with my 4011 because its WIFI is atrocious with Samsung phones. Maybe I'm going to check this one out instead... Will the 4011 with wifi power supply be enough to run both devices in PoE?

I lost it at "It rhymes with two", not even 30 seconds in and I'm sold.
