Why is SoD Phase 4 Still Growing? Are Numbers Lying?

Agreed on the next move. They need to go all in on Classic+. You can keep the light switch on for Cata and Era servers but at some point all of the future effort has to be consolidated into making Classic+ amazing and actually growing the Classic playerbase

I still feel devs knowingly lied to people to get SoD subs. There was a Reddit post the other day, across all classes and specs, there are only 7 actual new abilities. Everything else is recycled.

Blizz needs to learn that NEW is not a synonym for re-used, re-imagined, re-designed, recycled, reworked. It’s new, as not in ANY FUTURE VERSION OF THE GAME. New, not re, new. Like this is only a hard concept for aggrend. He saw Wotlk and say “20 years old can still be new right? I’m not old am I?!”

One of SoD's Big problems is that leveling up alts is a huge pain in SoD because of the rune system, so i don't see a lot of new players like you would normally see in classic. Even i had like 3-4 alts in phase 1/ then went down to 2 chars phase 2 /;then down to 1 phase 3/ now i only play my warlock in phase 4 i feel like SoD is not alt friendly. A lot of my friends wont even join and make a fresh char during phase 4 because they feel like its to much work since they didn't play the past phases.

Can someone ask that Blizzard dev if they can allow rogues to dungeon tank before they get 2 pieces of T1 raid set? Ive leveled all tank classes and rogues are the only one ive not been able to dungeon tank with outside of a very organized guild group.

I think it’s crazy how many sod haters there are. Never seen this many ppl hate a version of the game. If you don’t like it don’t play it stop doomsaying and pocket watching.

I don’t think people understand this is a test ground for classic + the game everyone wants. Ofcourse it’s going to be overtuned and kinda crazy. The balance sucks I will admit and so did phase 3. It’s not perfect but it’s fun to a lot of ppl and if it’s not for you go play retail, cata, or another game.

if this is what they have planned for classic+ then i fear for it. All they have shown throughout SoD is their ineptitude and inability to understand fundamentally what CLASSIC WoW is. They only know Retail and it shows with mechanics, runes, and how they handle the open world and questing. They have basically taken what was Classic in concept and turned it upside down and tried to inject their terrible ideas from retail into it. Look at turtle WoW for a good Classic+
