How to reset/reprogram Mercedes 5G/7G-Tronic automatic transmission

Reset your 5g or 7g tronic gearbox back to factory settings, very easy, turn ignition on - press gas pedal as hard as you can, for at least 15 seconds, turn off ignition and you can release the gas pedal, wait for up to 5 mins and your gearbox will be back to factory settings. My 09 c63 was having a tiny tiny surge in 2nd gear well before switching to third . I could barely feel it while it was downshifting as well. Others couldn't feel it but you know your car. Anyways I reset my transmission and it fixed it, hasn't gave issues since and that was well over a year ago. I reset mine every 2 to 3 months, especially if you allow others to drive it.
