Just had to say that this was a kind of eyeopener to me. You've got a talent to compress solid knowledge into 20 minutes of highly informative education. Coming from a linedrawing background and struggling with a painterly approach this was a great lesson to me – I now realize how I can transcend techniques and ideas from linedrawing to painting. Thanks and chapeau!

Some people will only say it's just kind of feeling, but you explain in a clear concept instead, which make much sense to me, really appreciate it.

This video was a revelation to me. I struggled for so long to understand what exactly speedpainters are doing and all my art colleagues didn't want to help or show me how it was done, because they were afraid someone else could steal their jobs. Guys like you deserve a crown to share important knowledge like that!

I'm sorely disappointed your blog isn't called Bucci Gang.

This has completely changed the way I view edges, from a complete mess to an organized mess, but with far less struggles, tysm sensei <3

Pop Quiz: how many Ninja Turtles are there in the photo of Saint Paul's Cathedral?

The more of your videos I watch, the more I realise I how much I need to learn. I’ve always thought I was alright at drawing because I can draw a cat and it looks like a cat. Didn’t realise how much of a balancing act art is. Really looking forward to trying this out. Thanks so much for the videos. Happily watching them all, awed by your paintings and can’t wait to improve.

You know this video has made me feel so much better about painting. Honestly, its so hard for me to paint usually because we always talk about detail and adding in more and more detail. The thought that you can loose some of that detail where it isn't important and still come up with something good and reassuring. Its the hardest part of landscapes for me cuz I think everything has to be hyper detailed and perfect and I overwork everything. Thank you.

When I try ‘hidden object’ games, they usually drive me crazy because most often there are only hard edges through the entire image you are searching. Thanks Marco for all of the wonderful insights!

Over the past two years I’ve been drawing a 200 page graphic novel. During those two years of working in ink on paper, I’ve been watching your videos over and over. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had those “Eureka” moments that made so many concepts that were so perplexing to me just click. Even though I’ve been working in black and white for two years, I’ve learned more about color/painting/digital painting from your videos than in the last 10 years I’ve been making comics. Just wanted to say thanks.

I’m late to this video, but thank you for explaining the edges. I could only be dazed seeing artist drawing backgrounds that look so real, yet simple when you zoom in, never realizing they apply edges. With this knowledge I can finally step up my work

I’m following your advice for the first two steps, thought I will jump into photos, I’m someone that love and have fun figuring things by myself XD

Marco, I, and I'm sure others, really appreciate your clear, concise articulation and instruction. So fun to watch your skill then try some of your exercises. Also, your advanced video production skills haven't gone unnoticed!

Man. You. Are. A. God. This is so clear and concise.
And - taking into account that I'm not a native speaker - I don't even need subtitles to understand what you're saying. This is amazing.

I have never watched an art channel that was so consistently mindblowing and I feel like I've watched all the art channels at this point.
