I love it seeing Paul's straight-body, confident posture with Maple walking in unison to Paul's steps. I noticed at start of video when Paul was about to pet/hug Maple, but Maple distanced a bit his head as if to say, "I'm on duty Master Paul". Very responsible 🥰 I'm really amazed how Maple stopped at the curb corner, so intelligent. As if you have a sighted human with you.

I've heard the term "obedient disobedience" used before, and the whole thing is amazing. It truly shows the intelligence of dogs to be able to work out on their own when a particular path or direction isn't safe.

I am a volunteer puppy raiser and group leader for the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, its so nice to see videos of the dogs helping people in real life and in action with someone who is visually impaired! I typically only ever see them being worked with handlers that have 20/20 vision. It always amazes me just how smart yet so dumb these dogs can be. My first dog I raised has saved their handlers life quite a few times yet she ate an entire soda can. They are the best silly little things!

It's incredible what dogs can be trained to do! I'm very curious how they teach them intelligent disobedience like what Paul mentioned here. It seems like it's a complex concept but I guess it's just like normal training with a few extra steps?

The one that always amazes me is the dog finding seats and bathrooms. I find that so incredible for some reason 😅 I love mr maple!
