I bought my Hi-Lift Jack back in the fall of 2000 for off-road use, and I still use it to this day! There is no other Jack like it! Now that I've seen the new First Responder Jack I will have to look into getting it! I also would like to say that the Hi-Lift accessories are second to none!

Just got two of these to be used in conjunction with our rescue and also for RIT applications. Had a quick training on them last night and they seem pretty cool. They seem to do a lot of different things that will be very helpful!!!!

Here in northern Maine we work and play outside in all sorts of conditions. Hi-Lift is standard equipment, and I don't know anyone who doesn't have at least one.

turmat01 - All Hi-Lift Jacks lower "step-by-step" in the same manner that they lift. The Jack is designed to lower this way until there is no more weight on the lifting mechanism.

Ideally yes. That's why every Hi-Lift jack shipped from our facility is tested twice for performance under load. It is very important that you keep the pins/springs lubricated and in good working condition, just like with any piece of machinery.

I may have to make some modifications to my standard hi-lift, this video gave me some excellent ideas! A hi-lift jack is an indispensable tool for a farmer, I would hate to be in a world where they didn't exist. Already mentioned in the comments, but be sure to keep the lifting mechanism well lubricated or they can "stick". I have no experience with the first responder hi-lift, but mine is quite picky about that. :)
