When you order bare-root fruit trees online and get them before planting season comes around in spring, you might have to heel them in until it's time to plant. We ordered a bunch of trees from Ison's Nursery and Vineyard and I'm so excited for them to start bearing fruits! But first I have to heel them in since it's not planting season yet, and I'll show you how to do that in this video.

I just ordered from ISONS! I have never heard of them but they were the only ones I could find with certain trees. Very reasonable prices. Glad to hear you like them because I wasn't sure about anything since I hadn't heard of them before.

I got about a dozen grape vines in. These are in small plastic bags with some soil around the roots. These are second year vines. What I wonder, is, what should I do with them. They have started new growth, several inches of fresh green vine from the stock. We have just had an ice storm, likely the last of the season, but average last frost still 6 weeks away. What's the best way to handle them and plant them causing the least damage to the plants and giving them the best chance for success?

What's the difference between planting them like that? So u dig them up later and replant? I'm confused. About to go pick up some Elderberry bushes. I'm on the Oregon coast. Doesn't get cold and I have some pop up tents and Xmas lights to keep them warm if I need to
