Hi Ray. Can you pls add more macro practice question videos. I failed my exam by 2 points. According to the results printout, macro questions are where I struggled the most. Your document has CounterTransference as option “C” whereas in your audio toward the last few minutes, you say “B” CounterTransference.

How is the correct answer "countertransference" ? There is nothing in the question that speaks of the social worker's feelings towards the client being caused because the client reminds the worker of another relationship. Are you saying that countertransference is any "feelings" towards a client?

I think we can also just have emotions for a client not related to how they remind us of anyone, so then is it still "countertransference?" Just having feelings for that unique individual?

I think I disagree with your answer to the question. I don't think feeling an emotion towards a client is definitively countertransference. The Oxford dictionary defines it as "the emotional reaction of the analyst to the subject's contribution." For example, if client was having issues with their father and I was a father, it might be countertransference to feel emotionally attacked by my client by the issues that they are facing. In your example, not doing my job of challenging a client because I am attracted to them is better understood as having permissive emotional boundaries because I am afraid of the ramifications that might happen due to my client's response to my challenging.
