Hey Family

Me again with some small wisdom. Why did you choose the career you’re in or working towards?

Growing up I always wanted to be a teacher because teachers were the only educated people I was exposed to as a kid.Now I find myself as a CA(SA) and tutoring students on a part time basis and I enjoy the process.

As someone who comes from your kasi ( Kanana) watching this made me emotional. It's very inspiring and I wish every kid from here can be exposed to people like you.

I hope one day I'll bump into you and say to you, I finally pursued my passion because of you. Stay blessed. 🙏

hello

Thanks for the video. This is an interesting topic you have chosen. l do not know how many people truly follow their calling in life. If we had the courage to, life would be more interesting l think. For example l am in a profession which was not of my choosing, l would say circumstances forced me into it but l am trying to get into what l think is the better one but still to this day l am not sure if it is the one for me. l do know it pays better and is more prestigious and it can open so many doors and locations for me.

Truth be told l wanted to be an engineer, l find tech very interesting but maths was not my strong point so l did something l was good at and quickly realised it would be a very trying existence if l continued in that path, so now l am almost at the point where l hope l can change. Hopefully 2 assessments later that will happen.

As for teaching depends how you go about it. l have a foreign based relative doing teaching for a global accountancy qualification. This person not only has a superb lifestyle as a trainer in accountancy but she is able to jet off to different countries to do this. So depending on how one manages it, it may not be all that bad.

Then there is another guy who is UK based, he did the whole Big 4 thing, qualified and now he is a trainer. He does the same thing teaches and travels to teach on occasion. So it is an option, obviously not for everyone.

Then l think you can be a training partner. Seeing as you may prefer being in the corporate sector but also wishing to impart skills. With some firms there is usually someone who does that. They focus solely on getting trainees through qualifications and other people in upgrading their skills. The issue is that this is not available in all firms but it would be great if you have such a facility where you are employed. If not it could be an opportunity for you to be entrepreneurial>
