VW Bug road trip from NorCal to SoCal

Mango65 Road Trip from Northern California to Southern California and back. 1100 miles in a lowered 1965 VW Bug headed to Breakfast Club at Newcomb's Ranch and to Benton Performance re-opening Party. Epic!

Such a cool vid! What size engine did the Beetle have at the time, and what was your average speed on the highway? Also, do you have a Freeway Flyer Transmission? Just curious, because I've never taken my Beetle on a long road trip, but considering it. I have a 1600 Dual Port, engine with a 34-PICT-3 Carb, and Freeway Flyer trans.

Great video! Thanks for posting! Would you share how your Beetle is lowered, please? Narrowed beam? Drop Spindles? Shocks or no shocks? Also, what size tires are you running?
