Let's make AI art together and take DALL·E 2 for a test drive, based on your requested prompts.

The point of this demo is to show you what AI art output looks like on the first run, to show you the difference between the amazing results you see online (which take lots of heavy duty human editing to make) and the results you actually get when there's minimal human tinkering.

DALLE2 is a wonderful tool for AI art, but let's not forget to celebrate the human artists who are the real creative genius behind the results you see out there.

I agree with Cass, the artist is the person who begins their creation with an ‘idea’ and then implements ai as a tool. An extraordinary tool yes but only with a navigator (human) to guide them, make course adjustments and plot the journey from random idea —> finished art.

7:34 that reflection is so true. Though it is an awesome tool, DALLE-E 2 datasets are still biased and that is the corner stone of the project from my point of view. What the heck, the entire web data is biased in that aspect

You can try Craiyon/Dall-e mini, its a free version of dall-e 1/2 but the images are deformed sometimes

This video feels a little...pointed? Are you looking for things to dislike about the AI? You spend like minutes talking about the bad spelling, poor representation, etc., but you skip right past the absolutely stunning starry night cyborg without giving it a second glance?

What if the artist wants the GENUINE Minyans and not the caricatures of the 21st hudredyears? Will the program offer same? Must one specify "genuine" every time the carictature or latterday corruption of a concept is not desired?

Ai is not a tool is that is comparable to a paintbrush or a porcelain manufacturer.
With all respect....AI....has an element of INTELLIGENCE...
An artist does not have to disclose what brush he used to create a artwork...but anyone who creates with Dall E 2 and fails to acknowledge the added intelligence of the AI is simply a fraud.

Agree but also disagree, Dall E 2 is an AI system. Meaning its actually actively learning, kinda like humans do but still really primitive. The AI is the artist though, you are the inspiration. The AI created what it created. I know that sounds weird but its true. If the artificial intelligence made it, thats what it is. It wasnt people because Dall E actually has more experience than everyone who ever existed ever…let that sink in…to take credit for its work is somewhat egoest. I think you can say, yes, i made this art with help/using Dall E 2, i dont think you can say, I made this art.

Thanks for making this video, Cassie! Had a fun time sitting through this and seeing what DALL E came up with. Although, I am left wondering about the ethical dilemmas with the use of this technology. BTW that laptop fan is really loud!

It would be neat if DALL-E 2 output 3D models that were, say, near CAD/CAM ready or near Unreal Engine/Unity ready, so they could be manufactured at once, "on the fly", or plopped into an interactive AR/VR environment for immediate use.

have to disagree, an artist is NOT someone typing a prompt. of course better prompts would lead to better or more complex results, BUT DALLE IS FOOLS-PROOF. my cat could type a prompt and get something amazing from dalle. Dalle has been proven again and again to come up with results comparable to great artists out there. my mom could try it all day and by the end of the day she will get art comparable to some of the best works on artstation... and she has never used a computer. so, let's stop this BS denial. please.
