Test report is rather vague. It does not reflect on filtration industry standard. Not to mention it does not state anything bout filtration parameters of the elements. Remember, it is a filter we are talking about. Something that needs to separate harmful particles. If we were chasing max flow an min restriction clear recommendation would be - 'get rid of that filter'. Best regards

Airflow direction is key! Very good info here. You can always establish the airflow direction of the cabin blower fan by holding a light piece of tissue paper over it while running the a/c (don’t stick your fingers into moving parts!) and watch which direction it pulls the paper. That is your air flow direction and that is the direction in which you should install the arrow on your filter.

I truly enjoyed this video. I watched it to get a comparison for my 2017 Honda CBR1000RR and I like how many motorcycle references are in the video. You've got a follow.

If you want to take care of your engine just put a good paper filter, it those give better Flow but dont filter as much, you can literaly see trough it...

This is the only video I could find that compared these two filter types. I drive an Abarth 500 and currently use a BMC. Now I think Sprint may be getting some of my money..!

but the BMC and K&N are only supposed to be cleaned every 50, 000 miles. Taking ten minutes to reoil it every 50, 000 miles is not some big maintenance hassle. A looser weave with oil to trap particles has every chance of filtering better than a tighter weave of dry fabric. All that matters is the flow and filtration, and Sprint never really talks about particle filtration ability.

How can the Sprint filter capture fine dirt if you can see through it?

Sprint filter have a better air flow, however it allow small particulars to go inside your air box. It will end up in engine problems. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks

Please note the F1-85 Sprint requires a remap to work effectively due to the large increase in airflow.

Based on your great info in this vid, I went for the sprint filter model P08F1-85 on my Quad. This version is the one up from the P08 in the vid with very similar filtration but apparently 3 times the airflow!
I can tell you right now the difference it makes is very noticeable, both in torque and top end power...very impressive. I guess it probably feels even better on mine due to the RaceChip plugin module.
Down side is it costs over 3 times as much as the P08.
I’ll keep checking for dust etc but is a pain to get it all off on your own.

Did you end up noticing a lot more debris and particles through the sprint filter?

Man, @AF! Wish you did this comparison about a year ago! Haha. When I had some work done on the QV, I had the BMC filter installed. I had done my own research, and honestly I was personally leaning towards Sprint because of some of what I was reading. But most experts with Italian cars swore by BMC, so I went with BMC. I know it’s a substantial improvement vs. OEM, but I had it installed along with the Centerline X-Pipe and an ECU upgrade from Fabspeed Motorsports.

Do you think it’s worth a swap-out at this time? As always, THANK you for your videos and your dedication to other fanatics out there!

say bye bye to your turbo with this Latvian filter....maybe better flow but will let dirt into your turbos and will damage the turbo to mine

How reliable has your Guilia been? I've been considering one as a daily driver, but the reliability question has been the only thing holding me back. I have a 30-45min commute each way every day, and I want an exciting comfortable car for that.
