In this video, AJ walks you through the reason why center diffs are put into many of today's RCs. He covers the how and why of this important mechanism. Often overlooked, this device is crucial for proper control. Set up properly the center diff can make your RC handle the way you want it to handle, but setup incorrectly for your driving style it can make things harder to control or straight up unpleasant to play with. Come along as AJ explains what this device is and why you should set yours up for your particular driving style.

You are so right and it makes completely sense, unlike some famous german youtuber, you describe it correctly. Thanks a lot for this content. 👍

Nice tutorial, I’m not big on locking diffs up, like you said less control harder on the RC,

You taught me something I didn't really know. Now I know how to spend my money and how to tune the center diff. That said, I think Arrma knocked it out of the park on the BigRock 6s with the center diff out of the box. I also love the hard tires as it can drift and hold it. Keep teaching us bro. I know I needed it! Subscribed!

I run 20m center, 30k rear, 50k front in my xmaxx and it does just what you said. Perfect basher and stunt driving. Easy to ride wheelies at 30mph and throw it into a flip whenever I want. But it definitely doesn't handle great 😂😂

Hi, great video and explanation on the center diff. I race 1/10 and 1/8 off road and front, center, and rear diff fluids are all pretty important to dial in your cars for how much traction you have on the track. I haven’t done much experimenting with changing diff fluids from the kit setups but last week, on my ET410, I was racing on a medium bite indoor clay track and I thickened my center diff fluid from 30, 000 to 40, 000 and what a difference. I had more snap off the line and it definitely turned better too. I think I am going to try thickening up some of my other4 wd cars center diffs and see what happens. I knew that I would probably have more snap off the line but I was pleasantly surprised by the better turning; I have actually been looking for better/more steering out of my 4 wd cars and I am thinking I might have found some help with that

Great content as always 👍
Off subject though …..receivers and transmitters …when I buy a car, I just trend to stick with stock …my rc buddies say I would get better results changing them or setting all my cars onto one transmitter ….this is where I kinda get lost …is there a go to set up …or stick to stock as it’s just plain easier …thanks for all you do

Great video, so if I get it ligth in the center, not that heavy on the front to be even, I like to wheelie but not like crazy, like more go fast on my K6 and K6 XL, thanks and God bless you and yours🙏🤝

How do i make it so it is a little looser in the rear again? so to do small drifts... lol. I know what im doing, Just I dont !

Hi there, I want to change my tekno eb48 2.0 an on road drift car. What's the differential setup do you suggest? I've stiffen up the sway bar and shock spring already. Thank you.

Great information. So I have a new kraton 4s v2.5 for Christmas. It's on the shelf!
Way to many wheelies! So it sits.
So if I keep stock fluid in center and rear diff, I need to change the front to a lighter fluid? RIGHT!
What do you suggest for a weight in the front of kraton v2.5? Just refilled center with stock oil as it said in book, F&R are stock fluid also,

The wheelies are killing me!

Hi great tutorial would you be able to give me a good place to start? I would really like to keep the front end down more to do a little bit of backyard racing but I still would like to be able to do some bashing. I don’t really care about doing backflips forsay I’m new to RC’s I have a (Arrma Outcast 6S EXB) would you be willing to tell me what would be a good place to start as far as oil thickness in the front middle and rear? That would be greatly appreciated the way it’s set up now from the factory all that it wants to do is stand up on the back wheels which is cool and fun but very hard to race That way any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Marc from Warren OHIO
