What happens if You REVEAL YOU'RE REVAN to Master Uthar *rare dialogue* Knights of the Old Republic

In Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic What happens if you reveal you are the Dark Lord Revan, to Master Uthar on Korriban? And more importantly, how do you even activate this rare dialogue option?

Well, first off the player needs to know themselves that they were once Dark Lord of the Sith.

The revelation cutscene of the player's true identity as Revan is triggered during your encounter with Malak on the Leviathan, which can only occur after acquiring 3 Star Maps.

The second factor is you cannot finish the Starmap quest for Korriban, beforehand.

As a side note, I believe the developers actually hinted at the correct sequence of planets to visit, during the cutscene when it shows said Star Maps during the flashback. Korriban being the final planet, and with good reason.

During the final trial to find the Starmap in Naga Sadow's tomb, if you choose the Dark side option of betraying Yuthura Ban to Master Uthar, he will naturally have you dispose of her in the tomb.

After which, his dialogue options will change as he senses that you are not as you seems, saying:

This spawns a branch of previously inaccessible dialogue options which you can reveal.

It's a real shame that Tom Kane isn't coming back for the remake

Bold of you to assume I'd *ever* leave the best planet for that late in the game.

So many years later and still finding new things out about this game!

KOTOR still is impressive to me and really paved the way for games like Mass Effect 1. I wish developers still made games like this, I even enjoyed the combat system

You can also reveal yourself to the woman, her dialogue also differs then. I did this on a dark side playthrough, I ate some light side points because I spared her, though.

After grinding out 400 hours from kotor2 back to back, and roughly the same amount on just kotor, I'm happy I found out basically all hidden dialogue on my own too :D

And light side getting yathura to turn was a huge find for me some 8 years after game release. I felt that there was so much to discover even after thinking I had done everything

I LOVED how this expanded on the nature of the force itself, especially the dark side, showing it wasn't as "black and white, cut and dry" as one may initially see. Uthar, for example, is remarkably at peace, almost akin to Yoda, with the force itself, and this revelation, almost like he already knew the truth.

Now, of course, this is no longer the case, and dark side is just evil period again and boring. Original EU was the best part of the franchise, and KOTOR is a better Star Wars story than ALL of the films.

back when RPGs were 90% story driven and 10% difficult if you play scoundrel with a staff saber X3 flurry master speed x2 valor and x3 implant makes it so you can literally 2 shot malak and 1 shot everything else including the dark side rancor on kashyyyk for the mask

This was rare? I always assumed Korriban was the last planet before heading to the Star Forge because Bastilla wouldn't come out of the Ebon Hawk on this planet. And since I always made her my early healer until I got Jolee, I never finished Korriban before the other planets anytime I played.
So I always got this dialouge on my dark side playthroughs.

His response to the reveal doesn't make sense. Darth Revan is a living legend. This guy would be in awe and want to serve him. He brushes it off as if it's no big deal.

I love Uthar Wynn. He has the look of pure evil and hate like Darth Maul but has the personality of Dooku

Dude what?! I’ve been playing this game at least once a year since 2003 and not once did I notice this. It’s amazing that I’m still finding out new options for this 2 decade old game. One of the many reasons it’s my all time favorite

I love Uthar. I chose to go full light side on my last playthrough and felt terrible about killing him… what a great character

I always double cross both sides on this quest.

I've done a playthrough changing the order of planets visited every time (Revan's been my fav character since his conception) and when I discovered I could take over the academy it was the coolest thing.

What an intriguing

Almost 20 years later and we're still uncovering all these cool components to apply to various playthroughs.

P.S.: I haven't played the DS version in some time. This gives me all the more reason to play the alternate ending, just to see this conversation and dialogue play out as you presented in this video.

Thanks,

I mean, Korriban has a Terentatek, which the game wants us TERRIFIED of, and if you go too early, can totally END your ass.

I like Uther. He's less like a Sith and more like a literal Dark Jedi. That is, a Jedi Master who relies on the Dark Side. A very interesting character. Despite being on the side about controlling the Force, he seems to care about the will of the Force.
