A lot of people here are so wrong. Tom told that he always said „I love her like a sister“ and that hurt Emma, because she loves him. Later on Tom clarified that he regrets saying that, because he truly loves her. Not in a platonic way. They even call each other soulmates.

I really wish them ending up together when’s that is even now what they really want.

And it’s horrible she had to experience these threads.
