Fox needs to think beyond the X-Men and Fantastic Four. Use all their properties and make a giant crossover universe. X-Men, Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, Galactus, the Shi'ar, Gladiator, the Kree, the Skrulls, Kang, etc. are all characters Fox can use.

I wonder where Bryan Singer will go next. I feel he's very underappreciated.

If any franchise needs a reboot it is the DC Universe

DEADPOOL is the REBOOT universe. you have Colossus and Negasonic which are X-Men members. all they have to do is branch out using those characters for the new X-Men reboot film. Deadpool 2 introduces Cable so Cyclops and Madelyn Pryor should be introduced as well for the backstory. Cyclops should be a established character, the field leader, tactician of the team.

I'm a completely biased X-Men stan; I love the comics, the animated series from the 90's is one of my favourites series ever, and I love all the movies - even the bad ones... and I'm forgiving about all the continuity errors and mistakes because I love the characters so much. In saying that, if I had to go a few years without anything while they reboot and wipe the slate clear, I wouldn't be mad at that.

Marvel getting the rights back from Fox would be amazing, but I feel like the best bet if that doesn't happen would be for Fox to partner with a streaming network like Netflix or something and create a live-action television show. The idea of a First Class/X-Men: Evolution style show would be great, were we have the teens coming into their powers for the first time and learning how to control them with the help of Professor. X would be ideal. That way it'll go right back to the original concept of what the X-Men franchise has always been about. They could easily structure seasons around major story-arcs, and being on a streaming service the episode count would be shorter so the series wouldn't have to be bogged down with fillers.
