yeah the twist lock of the 3 legged thing sux... or to be more precise that you have to do them one by one. I wish they could integrate the lock mechanism of the Valborn UT series. Those are not the best tripods but you can setup and packup your tripod in like 5 sec. You only have to twist every leg once and fasten all the locks at the same time.
Esp. for like city trips etc. (but I guess in gneral) the time it takes to setup and pack up is important on a travel tripod as well.

Small aperture refraction or not: But why does every sharpness chart on dxomark show the lenses sharpness (P-Mpix) go way down if smaller then F11-F16 dependent on the lens. But every lens got it.

I've had a 3LT tripod for 4.5 years now. I hope that they've improved on the construction as most of the failures that I've had with this tripod were due to parts that had been glued together - yes, that's right, GLUED together. I guess that they were new to the carbon fiber construction techniques.

you guys have so much good stuff to communicate, and i do get the commercial imperative, but the shows would be so much easier to watch if you stayed focused on what we all want to hear

Guys -- pretty short on tips. Mostly feels like advertising for your seminars, reading live comments, talking about equipment and how-to in LR. Some of that is ok, but that was like 90% of the hour. Left early.

A lot of advertising with very few landscape photography tips.

I found Matt's triangle tip useful otherwise I agree that it was a lot of advertising and not much practical advice
