How am I supposed to get tired of something I've been waiting my whole life to see?

The only ppl who may be feeling superhero fatigue are ppl who have no interest in Superheroes anyway and over exaggerate how many comic book movies are actually coming out. It's just so ridiculous that just because they themselves are tired of Superheroes that literally everyone should be tired of it. No. That's like me saying because I'm not a sports fan that ppl will be going through football fatigue or hockey fatigue. It's arrogant and hypocritical. Keep making good movies regardless of genre, and ppl will want to see them.

Does anybody ever consider that "Superheroes Fatigue" is idea implanted by "people" that considered "superheroes movie" should not get attention like they got today. I'm from Indonesia, I'm a layman in this movie world, but when I read the news all this year, my subconscious always get there are hint of cynicism in american film community that attention that "superheroes movie" should addresed to "oscar type" movie. Just my opinion, and Hail MCU,

These movies make the most money. They have the largest fandoms. And they are getting better and better. Plus, the Western genre lasted for decades. And they still make Westerns today. So, even if CBMs do decline - in a decade or two - there will still be CBMs, just fewer and with smaller budgets - and that's only if we want to draw parallels to the Western in the first place.

I don't think you can consider it a genre. A genre is a general tone and important consistencies. Superhero movies all have superheros but wildly different tones and plots. Batman v Superman I'll never see again because it was one of the few very familiar movies with a plot executed better in Civil War. The MCU is on a role with originality so I'll keep going to watch.

comic book movies are no longer just a phase its a full blown permanent genre that is here to stay for a long, long time.

Movies like Batman V Superman are reasons why people keep saying there's a comic book fatigue and I predict with DC/WB films the genre will suffer.

People are mistaking fatigue for possible peaking. But the genre is strong and is not going anywhere for at least a decade plus

For me, there is no fatigue for this kind of genre, but the expectations now of every cbm are on an all time high, that in able to say that a cbm is a success it has to perform better than the previous one's or better than its rival company or studio. Even non comic book readers before are now invested to this kind of films. I actually see that were in the golden age of comic book movies. And it seems that it's not going to slow down for a while.

John please do a Q&A video over your book, "The Pride". I have so many questions

Superhero Fatigue could happen if only Marvel stays in the genre but if DC joins in, I just don't see it and that is precisely why we need both companies on board. And this is why, we need more: Image, IDW, Dark Horse, etc.

Superhero fatigue is becoming real and will be a key factor in the next few years. You can see from apocalypse and bvs under performing that a lot of the general audience are simply fed up of the genre and are not willing to see 7-8 superhero movies a year. The studios have brought this on themselves IMO- they'd have been far better releasing 2-3 high profile films a year than 7/8.

Amen, Campea! Amen! Calling out Comic Book Fatigue is like calling out fatigue of any genre just because there's more than 1 a year. People may be tired of it because usually that's what most films fans decide to solely focus on other than some other genres, but that doesn't mean people are tired of it and neither should they. Superhero films aren't the only films nowadays, and there shouldn't be any complaining about their existence, but of the overshadowed attention to other films.

There is and will be "short term" fatigue. Apocalypse will suffer because there have already been three massive films in the past four months. General audiences who have previously seen two to three a year, won't be seeing four or five in such short succession. BvS should never have been releases just five weeks before Civil War. Apocalypse will suffer because it's coming out just weeks after Civil War.

I really don't think there's a comic book fatigue. Until they make entertaining movies, there won't be a fatigue
