Mask Reveal Transition Effect Premiere Pro

Masking can create some of the best type of transitions, especially clips that go through openings revealing a new clip like this! Masking is super easy but can take a while and be tedious but in the end its worth it! In this video I show you how to do a mask reveal from one clip to another with a speed ramp at the end to create this flawless transition effect!

The end result is so awesome!! This is a very tedious process but honestly I think if I had to pick this would be my favorite transition. It always looks so good in the end!. How long did it actually take you to do this transition start to finish? I'm gonna guess 25 min lol, you had A LOT of frames to go through with so many different lines to follow!

The end result is worth the effort. With After Effects I think you can manipulate the pen tool more easily.

I think this is what I am looking for, thanks. I want to fly my drone through a frame, with a new drone shot in that frame, and as it flies through, it fills the screen and becomes the new video shot. I think this tutorial is going to be my guide. Thanks. Do you have any more tips?

Hey there. When I draw my first mask and click mask path then toggle animation on and try to track selected mask forward 1 frame nothing happens. Not even the video moves by one frame and all the track buttons turn into grey. What am I doing wrong?
