My mom passed away last week, and she had this song listed for her funeral. I'm not sure I had ever heard it before, but it brings me comfort, and I know without any doubt where my sweet momma is. I know that she rose up and saw her savior's face. She was reunited with my daddy after 16 years without him. I miss them both dearly, but I know that I will see them both again when I pass into eternity. Oh, how I look forward to that day.

I belonged to a fabulous church choir in Texas and we had sung this song for Easter. Sometime later we lost a beloved choir member after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Her children found information she had left, asking that the choir sing for her memorial service and specifically which songs she wanted. This was one of her requests. Her choir robe and music folder lay on a chair at the front of the chancel area and we sang this powerful anthem. Not an easy song to sing while crying, but we did it for her. It’s an experience I will never forget.

My grandmother passed away on 10-19-17. She passed away before I could get to the Hospice Center where she was, so I could say goodbye one final time. When I got there, she had been gone for an hour already. I heard this song on my ride home and I believe it was her sign to me that she had arrived at the Lord's Kingdom and she was alright. I love Chris Tomlin's music but had never heard this particular song before. I don't think I will ever forget it now. This will be her and I's special song for all of eternity.

He marks our tears, his heart is with us in our deepest times, never does he turn away from those he has paid an infinite price to be close to! I praise God for his goodness and grace! This song helped me through my grieving process when my loving daddy died 12/5/13.  Although I still grieve at times, I know this precious man of God is with the Lord.  He left a legacy of love and dedication and many will remember him for their lifetime (and beyond).  Thank you, God, for a loving, Godly father.  And thank you for posting this beautiful song!
