Nice explanation, thanks! Some questions:
1. Do you need to cut out a biopsy sample in order to stain and scan it? Is there a way to scan a live sample (like in your mentioned example of scanning an athlete's muscle - you wouldn't want to just injure the athlete for the sake of the experiment, right ?)
2. How deep can you focus inside the tissue (with and without staining) ?
