Voyager 1 is a space probe launched by NASA on September 5, 1977, as part of the Voyager program. The Voyager Golden Record was NOT sent by France in 1977. The material that created the record was made in France, blank records were provided by the Pyral S.A. of Créteil, France. The contents of the record were selected for NASA by a committee chaired by Carl Sagan of Cornell University. The selection of content for the record took almost a year. Sagan and his associates assembled 116 images (one used for calibration) and various natural sounds, such as those made by surf, wind, thunder, and animals (including the songs of birds and whales). I am writing this for historical accuracy and to give homage to Dr. Carl Sagan.

Thomas Jolly, the director, and Damien Gabriac, the writer said they were inspired by Sci-Fi.
Regarding the story, it has a futuristic atmosphere. They had imagined a world where the Olympics would no longer exist, the golden traveler had arrived on earth and had discovered the ruins of the Olympic Games. He then repaired these ruins. These things are inspired by real facts since the Frenchman Pierre De Coubertin, had himself in some way repaired the ruins of the OG in the 19th century by creating the modern OG.

Regarding the costume, the designer, Kevin Germanier, said he was inspired by video games, Sci-Fi but also "Voyager Golden Record" which is a golden disc of recordings of the sounds of the earth having been sent into space about 50 years ago.
He also drew inspiration from anatomical references, since according to him, the human body is at the center of the OG.
If we pay attention, we can see that his costume looks like a skeleton

This ceremony depicts the fallen angel Helel (Hebrew) arriving on Earth to start his reign. God and His angels, led by Michael, cast the former angel Helel — no longer a "shining one, " but now called Satan, the Devil, the Deceiver, the Adversary, the Opposition, named Phosphorus by the Greeks and Lucifer by the Roman/Latin — along with his followers back to the earth, evidently causing great destruction. And here they have remained.
